Our Neighbours

There are several deer who share the farm with us here. We see them everyday, Daudi is getting lots of target practice out the window with his toy guns and 'bow n arrel'.

Happy New Year 2011

(Adair wasn't really into it.) But hope you all are happily enjoying the new year so far, and may you keep all your resolutions...like me, ha! :0)

Holiday Season 2010

We spent Christmas weekend in Cold Lake with Candice and Phil. It was a good trip up there, the kids did great on the 10 hour journey (I was VERY pleasantly surprised about that!). It was fun to all be together for a few days.

Our gracious hosts, and Candice's birthday.

Grandma and Grandpa with all their grandkids...only missing the one we are all waiting for in Feb. (Carla's baby)!

The original Olsens.

Daudi, very happy to have the 'Uno-Moo' game. Its still getting ALOT of play time.

Adair, telling Grady she would like more of his snacks!

Some toboggan action

We went to my mom and dad's on the way home.
Uncle Brice came there for a little visit.

Reading stories to Grandma Wimmer.

Daudi and Grandpa playing dominoes. (By the way Mom, Mexican Train Dominoes with a real train whistle is a huge hit here! Thanks.)

Adair carefully checking out Strawberry Shortcake dolls. It was kind of cute, mom gave them to her all wrapped up and when she opened them she held them up real close to her face and used her little finger to point out how wonderful they were to her. Explaining it all with 'do, do, do...' She doesn't talk much but we know what she means :0)

Adair is 2

She's quite a little monkey, and can pretty much keep up to her big brother now. She likes to play 'catch me' games when its time to get dressed, likes to climb up on top of things to stand up and dance around until she falls, and she likes to play wrestle with brother and daddy. She still likes her mom quite a bit but is starting to give out hugs to others more willingly, especially if they happen to have something she wants....like cookies or ice cream! She still doesn't have many spoken words, but her signing vocabulary is increasing and she usually tries to make some kind of sound for the word she's signing. She's still our best eater, and can eat circles around Daudi!

We had a party the day before, which was actually her Grandpa's birthday, so we had a double party....well, more like he got stuck celebrating his 61st with a bunch of little kids and their parents :0)

Birthday cake!

Opening presents

Playing tea party with her friend, Robyn.

Very happy with a play kitchen! Mommy too, actually ;0)

Winter has arrived! We said good-bye to Grandma and Frank and are still missing them. The other day I had this little conversation with Daudi...
Daudi: 'mom, lets go see Grandma and Frank'
me: 'we can't, they aren't here anymore'
Daudi: 'where are they, huh?'
me: 'in Osoyoos'
Daudi: 'oh, in Osoyoos. Does Frank have spiders to put in Grandma's shoe in Osoyoos?' (Frank likes to play jokes, Daudi thinks its great)
Every time we pass their house on the highway, he says 'there's Franks house'. We hope spring will come and they will come back soon!

In the meantime, we are enjoying winter as much as possible. Jarvis bought a ski-doo and is currently looking for a second one and a covered sleigh to pull behind it for the kids. They have really great ski-doo trails all around here.

We've all spent time being sick and getting well and then getting sick again, so that's not too fun about winter, but cuddles always make a person feel a little better.

And stories with Grandma, those are fun too :0)

First day of hunting season, the kids and I went out with the Beckers for the afternoon, no luck for the mighty hunters that day though.

Daudi and his new best friend, Coy, they are both obsessed with hunting and guns

Adair being a good sport. Daudi keeps telling me that she needs a gun too.

Clearing snow off the driveway with Grandpa when it was still warm here :0) Octoberish?

Daudi riding his cousin Leah's horse, Smoke. He wasn't too sure he could even ride without his cowboy hat, but he did great :0)
