A visit to baby Gavin

This past weekend we finally went to visit the newest member of our family, baby Gavin. He was born 3 weeks ago to Tim and Carla (Jarvis' younger sister and husband). I think his actual due date was today, but he surprised everyone and came a little early :0) He is so sweet and small and very very good.

Daudi was so proud to hold him, he sat here for a good half an hour holding him.

On the WARM days of winter...

Last week it warmed up a little, so the kids had some fun outside without getting too frozen. They are pretty soft, being desert born and all, and do not enjoy the snow for very lengthy periods of time.
However, Daudi's Aunty Kelty made him some hunting coveralls and he decided to go out hunting one day. The purse/bag is for his snacks, it was a long hunt....at least 10 mins. or so.

Adair wanted to get in on the action too.

I might have posted pictures of Adair at the piano before, but she just loves to play it. She climbs up and down off the bench all by herself and rocks her little body to whatever kind of music she can make. And then the funniest part is that she will reach up and turn pages in the music book and then go back to playing :0) I can't wait to start her in lessons, a few years yet...

Road trip to Calgary

The kids and I took a trip out to Calgary a couple of weeks ago. Jarvis was doing an audit near Saskatoon for the week and Grandma and Grandpa were in St. Lucia, so instead of staying home by ourselves we thought we'd go see our friends the 'Goods' and a few cousins along the way. It was a wonderful week, how I have missed Lori so much. It was so good to spend a few days together shopping and talking :0) The kids were great on the drive (10hrs. each way), we spent a night at Kelty's on the way there and then one night on the way back. Even though its still 8 hrs. straight from her place it was fun to stop there and Daudi enjoyed playing and fighting with his boy cousins immensely! I didn't remember to take many pictures but here's a couple.

In Calgary at Tyson and Lori's. The kids with Jessie, he's the only one at home these days, the rest are in school.

This is Kelty's baby, sweet little Dalys, who can sleep through any amount of noise you would ever imagine :0)
