The heat is getting very intense here these days. This is 8:30 AM showing a temp. of 39 degrees. My car thermometer has been reading 51 degrees by noon this past week! Needless to say we are wishing for snow and winter as our tongues hang down to our knees and the a/c in the car can barely keep up.
Hence our pretend world of snowmen...in vegetable form,

All About Adair
I finally caught an action shot of her walking. I have video but don't have the time to fiddle with it for posting right now. Anyway, she is pretty much fully walking now, she still falls lots but gets right back up and toddles off to wherever she wants to go. The only time she crawls is usually when I first put her down somewhere new. She will crawl a little ways and then stand up and walk, likes to feel how the floor is, I guess.
Oh yes, and she's climbing, the little monkey! Daudi likes to pull all the cushions off the couches so she climbs onto a cushion and then up from there. I have numerous shots of Daudi in this same pose, standing on the back of the loveseat looking out the window. Yes, Daddy is a Safety Manager :0)
And...we've been trying a few new hair-dos this week. My first attempt at braids, not very good, I admit I need much practice. Maybe Grandma Wimmer will give us a few tips since I she spent a good part of my childhood putting braids in my hair!
And this one, Daddy likes. She is learning all about tools from her big brother and LOVES to be in the garage, actually I think its really her favorite place. If she hears the door being opened its like a homing beacon, she gets there as fast as she can, and should she MISS IT being open will then proceed to try and pull it open from the bottom! If that doesn't work she gets upset and starts banging on it until someone opens it for her.

And now, back to the children...
Thank you all for your comments to the previous entry :0)
Here are a some shots of what the kids have been up to the last few weeks.
In an effort to eat MORE and a greater variety of vegetables we have started getting the Greenbox here in Doha. It is a weekly delivery service to your house, which is really very nice and so far I'm quite happy with it. So are the kids, as you can see. This was the first week...

Look at us...10 years together :0)
This is a bit late, since we celebrated our anniversary on the 19th, but better late than never. Especially when its our 10th, a whole decade! It doesn't seem so long, but it sounds long... I don't think there were blogs back then, not even sure if we had a digital camera. (Almost the olden days now :0)

Daudi, Daudi, Daudi...
So precious while sleeping....
Anyway, I was thinking maybe I should do a little update on Daudi since I mostly seem to post about Adair these days. With good reason of course, she's changing so much and is so sweet.
And Daudi can be VERY exasperating A LOT of the time. However, I see myself and Jarvis come out in him more and more, so maybe we just don't realize how exasperating WE are. But there are many sweet moments like when his little sister wakes up in the morning and the first thing he says to her is 'hi little munchkin', and 'hi, baby sweetheart, how was your sleep?'
Or this morning when he was playing with his toys and holds up a little ball in a bag and says to me 'mom, this is my privilage!' (I'm not sure where he got that word from but I liked it :0) And there are lots of funny times, like when he was giving thanks for supper the other night and asked God to 'help mommy and daddy to be precious'.
Anyway, that's our Daudi, its better in real life :0)
Look who's walking...well, stepping anyway :0)
Adair took her first steps unassisted on Thurs., just 3 but we celebrated anyway. She's been trying to beat that record ever since, so I think there is a very good possibility that she will be walking when we come home for the reunion in a couple months!
