So, I guess this finds us officially on the count down for moving home now. Today it is exactly 42 days, we have tickets booked for Oct. 5th. Things are steadily starting to disappear from the house...not packing yet, just purging!
This last week we had some very special company, Sheila and Brenda came over from Dubai. For the last time until we leave, I think. It was nice to have them as always, but kind of hard this time, in some ways. With Sheila especially recounting many memories, of coming to stay with us the very first time she was ever in Qatar and all the things we have shared, and that she has seen us through over the past six years. Many things to think about, many things to cry and laugh over... Anyway, I can't really put into words how thankful we are for ALL the workers that have come to mean so much to us while we have lived over here.
While they were here Carolyn had her 72nd birthday, with Hugh celebrating his 74th the week before. Sheila's 60th was the following Tues. So, we had a little birthday party. It was quite thrilling to figure out that we had over 2 centuries worth of wisdom with them all combined!
